I bought some stuff from a buddy and it was really wet so I went back and asked him what was up and he said that the method he uses for curing is three days. Is it possible to properly cure weed in three days???

No, it takes longer for the thc to dry and cure on the buds than that. You can fast dry the buds but you will lose thc content from the heat. It sounds like your buddy is trying to get the most out of his crop. Greedy people eh??? Time and patience pay off in the long run for quality and taste.

I want to get started growing and I've never done it before. I have a small closet that I can use it's 2.5'x4.5'. My budget is very limited. This is only going to be my first experiment. Can you help with a suggestion or two???

I think from the amount of space you are planning to use that I would use florescent lights. Two double tube four footers. I would only try for four female plants so I would plant about 8 seeds and cull off the males when they showed their sex. You are going to need some nutrients. Miracle Grow is pretty inexpensive and would give good results.

What's the best way to store seeds and how long are they good for???

I store my seeds in a sealed glass jar in a dark closet and seeds have a shelf life of 2 years but there have been some exceptions from the rule.
